Living History Site Stamford Bridge,

York side of A166 bridge



PLEASE NOTE OUR AUTUMN - SPRING  MEETINGS ARE NOW HELD AT the Village Hall, Stamford Bridge 7.45pm unless otherwise stated. Meetings are very informal and light refreshments are available. New Members always welcome!

Visitors please use the Riverside Car Park in Stamford Bridge Village, our site is then just a short walk over the pedestrian footbridge over the river to the York side (please use pedestrian crossing). Sorry but there are no toilet facilities on site, please use the public toilets adjacent to the pedestrian crossing.

The grassed site is reasonably level and firm underfoot but please wear appropriate footwear. The route to the event site has dropped pavements.

Event Schedule

10.30am: March to the Battle memorial

11am: Festival opens, weapons display in arena

12 noon: Storytelling

1pm: Kiddie Vike

2.30pm: King's Court

3pm: Battle in arena

4pm: Festival closes:

Sat. 28th September Battle of Stamford Bridge

Our 1066 Event this year will be on our Living History Site Stamford Bridge where we will be joined by Vanaheim Vikings
